Model of a Zero

Japnaese Zero - 1/48 scale
The following pictures are of the first model I have made in about 30 years. Also, this is the first time I tried using an airbrush on a model. Click on one of the thumb nails to see a enlarged picture.
Just after airbrushing

Close up of the landing gear. After grey dries, the underside will need a touch up. See below.

Close up of the landing gear. It still needs a little touch up.

I used only half of the decals, as they kept sliding away. Next time, I should apply only one at a time and let it dry.

Side view of the tail. I used the rear wing as a mask. I like the affect, but I don't think its belongs.

Top view.
Completed

Close up of the landing gear after touch up. The finish looks better the actual model.

Underside of wing. The decal looks perfect. To the right is an access panel. I should have added this after painting, as it would have accentuated the gap around the panel
